It stiffens your arteries and accelerates cellular aging. system to clear waste. Instead, it has the <strong>glymphatic system</strong>. During deep sleep, your brain cells literally shrink to allow cerebrospinal fluid to &#8220;wash away&#8221; neurotoxins like beta-amyloid.</p><p>When we cut sleep short, we leave the &#8220;trash&#8221; in the brain.
